Steps are the basic building blocks of a track. Think of it as a container of various actions to be performed by your assigned stakeholders at that given moment in time.

How to create and name a step

  1. In the left sidebar of Awell studio hover over the "New step" icon

  2. Click on the icon, you can now either drag the new step onto the canvas or click again on the canvas to add your step

  3. Double click on the step or click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the step card then "Edit" to open the step context menu

  4. Rename your step in the step context menu

Continue with creating an action, which is a specific piece of content you send to a stakeholder to be completed. This could be:

  • in-app message action (e.g. for your patient, as introduction to your care flow)

  • form action (e.g. for your nurse to register data, and kicks off your care flow)

  • calculation action (e.g. to verify age eligibility before continuing)

  • etc.

We can't wait to see what you build! πŸš€

πŸ‘€ tip: You can also use the keyboard short cut CTRL + S to add a step to your canvas.
