Before going live with a promoted care flow—especially the first version—make sure the following configurations are set up correctly in the Production environment:
🖼️ UI & Branding of Hosted Pages
Branding Configuration
Set up organization-level branding (e.g., logos, colors) in Production.Custom Domains
Apply custom domain settings for Hosted Pages in Production.Customize your Hosted Pages Link
Set your hosted pages settings in Production after publishing your flow
🧩 Platform Configuration
Identifier Systems
Manually configure identifier systems in Production.
→ Ensure the name and system are identical to what you used in Sandbox.File Upload Settings
If your care flow supports file uploads, configure file storage separately in Production.Global Constants: Not promoted - recreate and configure them manually.
Care Flow Constants: Automatically promoted - update values in Production if needed.
Concealed Constants: Appear blank in Production - enter values manually.
Note: When you re-promote a care flow but have manually set or updated the value of a care flow constant in the Production environment, Awell will not overwrite that value during promotion.
🔗 Integrations & API Configuration
Orchestration API Keys
Generate and configure a Production API key if you’re using Awell’s Orchestration API. Endpoints:Extensions
Reinstall all required Extensions in Production with the right credentials.API Call Actions
Ensure all API call actions point to your Production endpoints.
👀 tip: Use constants to store parameters like endpoint URLs and API keys to quickly substitute them in all your actions and keep everything nice and clean.
API Retry Settings
If you use custom retry rules for API calls, configure these at the organization level in Production.Outgoing Webhooks
Recreate all outgoing webhooks in Production to send Awell events to your third-party systems.Enrollment Triggers (Incoming Webhooks)
Reconfigure enrollment triggers in Production.
→ Note: Webhook URLs differ by environment—make sure third-party systems are pointing to the Production URL
